Orlando Science Center

Our Planet can display the Death Star; real wedding feature documents a Star Wars ceremony and reception.

Orlando Science Center offers something no chapel can: the Our Planet exhibit hall, where a giant spherical screen can project the Death Star above your ceremony. A documented real wedding at the museum paired that ceremony space with a reception surrounded by exhibits, giving guests a genuinely cinematic backdrop. It suits couples who want a Star Wars wedding that feels immersive rather than costumed. Note the venue's own wedding page states Our Planet is available for events through August 2027 and that the terrace closes for private events from June 2027, so confirm which spaces are open for your date and how the projection can be used before committing. Practical notes: museum weddings typically begin after public closing time, so plan an evening ceremony, and catering is handled through approved partners. Ask how the spherical projection is programmed for events, whether guests can explore exhibits during cocktail hour, and what load-in rules apply to themed decor and costumes.
