A Hocking Hills castle hotel modeled on 12th- and 13th-century English and Welsh border castles.
Ravenwood Castle sits in the wooded hills of Ohio's Hocking Hills region and was deliberately designed after 12th- and 13th-century English and Welsh border castles, complete with towers, battlements and a great hall. It operates as a small castle hotel, so wedding parties can stay on site in themed rooms and cottages — a real advantage for weekend-long medieval celebrations with guests traveling in. Ceremonies are typically held on the lawns with the castle facade behind, followed by receptions in the hall or under tents on the grounds. The rural setting means dark skies, quiet and plenty of photo spots in the surrounding forest. Because it is an intimate property, guest counts are more limited than at large event venues, and popular autumn weekends book far ahead. Confirm accommodation blocks, catering options, decor rules for themed weddings and current guest limits with the castle directly.
